Web Design
Typically, web sites in the past and still continue to use tables for layout and content. It is a very convenient way and quick way to design web sites using standards tools like MacroMedia Dreamweaver or similar tools.
As the CSS2.1 standard gains more and more market interest and new browsers also support these standards and technologies there is a new opportunity to provide a more flexible design and also to separate design and content in a more efficient way.
However, good and exciting design also requires more manual work but on the other hand it allows more flexibiity, which gives the customer a wider choice during the design.
Search Engines
You might think that a good design will also result in good ranking in the search engines. Sorry to say, but this is not the case.
Already during the conception and implementation phase a whole list of things have to be considered in order to achieve a good ranking. In addition, once the web site is activated on the server you need to track the statistics generated at the server. Based on the statistical information you will then need to take appropriate actions in order to achieve a better ranking.
